North Western Chamber of Commerce and Industries says the continued closure of Kasenseli Gold Mine in Mwinilunga District is affecting revenue generation.
Government in August last year suspended operations at Kasenseli Gold Mine due to an increase in deaths at the mine site.
Chamber President MUKUMBI KAFUTA says it is unfortunate that the issues around management of the mine have not been resolved leading to government missing out on the opportunity to earn revenue.
Mr. KAFUTA told ZNBC News that government should quickly settle for an investor who will operate the mine.
He said government should consider local and foreign investors to operate the mine.
