
By Mary KachepaActing Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security AMBROSE LUFUMA says government plans to recruit three thousand police officers in 2022 if treasury authority is granted.
Mr LUFUMA says next week the Ministry of Home Affairs will discuss in detail with the Ministry of Finance.
He says the process for the recruitment will start in 2022 but the training will be done in 2023.
Mr. LUFUMA assured Parliament that government will ensure the recruitment process is decentralised and transparent just like the Teacher and health workers recruitment was done.
He said this in response to Chasefu Member of Parliament MISHECK NYAMBOSE who wanted to know whether the Government has plans to recruit police officers in 2022.
