Patriotic Front PF candidate Lawrence Shaba has won the Luangwa Council chairperson by-election.
Five candidates battled it out.
Those who contested are, United Party for National Development’s Authur Lungu, Patriotic Front’s Lawrence Shaba, Socialist Party’s Christopher Njovu, Leadership Movement’s Godfrey Mumba and independent Julias Sikasote.
The council chairperson post fell vacant following the nullification of Shana’s election.
This came after UPND candidate, Lungu petitioned against the outcome.
