
A notorious bandit leader, Boderi Isiya, has narrowly escaped being neutralised, while his deadly second-in-command, identified simply as Musti, has been killed by troops.

Musti and Boderi were reportedly responsible for the security breach at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, and kidnappings of students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization, the Emir of Bungudu in Zamfara State, Alhaji Hassan Attahiru and several other citizens in 2021.
The troops engaged the bandits around the Tollgate general area of Chikun Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State. The bandits scrambled in retreat, only to run into another ambush laid by the troops in Sabon Gida general area.
The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai praised the troops for the feat.
Other slain terrorists in the operation include one Yellow Mai-Madrid and Dan-Katsinawa.
Weapons were recovered from the scene.
