
An Islamic Association in Nigeria, the Northern Nigeria Youths Ulama Initiative, has described the candidature of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as a welcome development that will bring more unity and progress in the country.
THETALK.NG reports that the Zonal Coordinator of the association, Dr. Ahmed Yakub gave the commendation on Saturday during the courtesy visit to the APC leader in Sokoto state, Senator Aliyu Wamakko at his Gawon Nama residence in Sokoto.
Dr. Yakub revealed that the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the country is a wise decision that will usher in gains for Nigeria.
The Coordinator promised that they will mobilise more support for the success of APC in Nigeria so as to ensure the provision of more democratic benefits for all.
Earlier, while welcoming the Leadership of the association, Senator Wamakko who is also a member of the Muslim World League, thanked the group for the visit.
The Senator promised to work together with the association in order to achieve the set objectives in which it was established.
The Zonal Coordinator was accompanied on the visit by other executive members of the Group that include; Imam Umar Hassan, Dr. Munir Usman, Mallam Bello Musa, and Mallam Bashar Shinkafa.
The rest are, Mallam Shamsu Nayaya, Mallam Abbas Saβidu and Mallam Rabiβu Yahaya.
