
NEW DAWN GOVERNMENT SHOULD LEARN LESSONS FROM KENYA-NAKACINDA

The Patriotic Front party has called on the New Dawn Government to learn lessons regarding the according of respect to former President Dr. Edgar Lungu.
Patriotic Front Member of the Central Committee and Chairperson for Information and Publicity, Raphael Nakacinda expressed admiration to how the Inauguration Ceremony was done and the respect given to the out-going President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.
He said outgoing President Kenyatta was respected and celebrated by the 60,000 people that attended the Ceremony at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi.
He said this can be largely attributed to the positive and respectable remarks constantly made by the President-Elect, Dr. William Samoei Ruto during the transition period.
He called on President Hichilema and his government to accord former President Edgar Lungu respect.
Mr. Nakacinda said the attitude and respect that leaders receive is shaped and directed by the remarks of the Head of State.
He said the proves of nation-building, peace and unity was deliberately cultivated and achieved by the conduct of all players.
He regretted the manner in which President Lungu was treated at the inauguration ceremony of President Hichilema in August 2021.
Mr. Nakacinda also took the opportunity to congratulate Dr. Ruto on his successful inauguration and Swearing-in Ceremony.
He said Kenya held peaceful elections and during the entire period of dispute, court process and transition, they maintained the peace.
The Patriotic Front senior leaders have attended the inauguration and Swearing-in Ceremony in Nairobi.
The delegation comprised Mr. Nakacinda, Hon. Richard Musukwa and Amb. Emmanuel Mwamba.
