Nakonde authorities stumble upon 7 dead Somalis

SEVEN dead bodies of men suspected to be Somalians have so far been discovered in separate locations of Nakonde.

Four of the corpses in Mung’ongo while the rest in Kanyimbo Village, some 70Km west of Nakonde Central Business District.

Nakonde Town Council Chairman Nathan Siame and the District Commissioner Marvelous Sikapizye, in the company of the police and the press, say the men could have been killed from an unknown area and only dumped here.

The incident is suspected to have occurred between Saturday and Tuesday.

Preliminary details obtained by Chete FM news from the scene show the half-naked men with scratches on their bodies with some suspected to have been strangled.

A passport size photo of one of them has been found on the scene.

The villagers are concerned, saying they are now living in fear

One of them, Adam Sikamanga, tells Chete FM News this has never happened before in the over 40 years he’s lived here.

Kanyimbo is the last village in the western direction of Zambia’s border district and Kakozi village in Momba district of Tanzania.
