Some residents of KANCHOMBA village in Pemba District say they are experiencing a rise in criminal activities due to lack of police presence in the area.
RODRICK HANGANDU has told ZNBC News that the only police post in the chiefdom was closed in 2018.
Mr. HANGANDU has called on government to restore the police post to curb the escalating criminal activities.
And Pemba District Commissioner, OBEY HABEENZU has assured the residents that measures are being taken to rectify the problem.
