Miriam was born in Kisumu.When she was born without arms the doctors suggested that she should stay in hospital until she attains 3 years old.They didn’t want the society to reject her.After she was discharged the news of a girl spread like fire in the village.

People were going to see her,others accepted her while others could advise her mother to throw her in the river.Her grandfather stood by her mother and could provide everything they needed. When she attained 7 years her mother got married and carried her along in the new home.

The stepfather could pretend to love Miriam when her mother was around but when she was away he could mistreat her and tell her that she is a bad omen in his house.One day her grandfather went to check on her.She explained to her grandfather how the father was mistreating her.

He carried her back home and enrolled her to a special school. She uses her legs to do the chores.God blessed her with a baby boy who is normal although the father abadoned her.she raises her child alone,she is requesting well wishers to support her rise her child.
