Job Description

  • Deliver accurate and reliable valuation services for a variety of fixed income instruments, including bonds, notes, and structured products, as well as derivatives linked to interest rates, foreign exchange, equity, and credit, for both our internal teams and external clients.
  • Provides comprehensive coverage across fixed income, interest rate derivatives, FX options, equity swaps, and credit default swaps, serving the needs of both internal stakeholders and external investors.

Responsibilities

  • Policy and Framework Development: Collaborate on drafting and refining market and liquidity risk policies, frameworks, and trading/balance sheet limit documents.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly market and liquidity risk reports for CRO, ALCO, MRC, and BRMC.
  • Collateral and Derivatives Management: Manage collateral, handle margin calls, and perform derivatives valuation.
  • ALCO Support: Assist with administrative and organizational tasks for the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO).
  • Investment and Treasury Review: Conduct initial review of investment and treasury proposals for feasibility and risk assessment.
  • Stress Testing: Collate and analyze market and liquidity risk management stress testing reports.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Generate Basel reports on liquidity coverage ratio, net stable funding ratio, liquidity monitoring tools, interest rate risk in the banking book, capital adequacy ratio, etc.
  • Additional Reporting: Prepare CBN, external, and ad-hoc reports as requested by the Head, Market and Liquidity Risk Management.
  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing notes to the annual accounts and required audit schedules.
  • Internal Capital and Liquidity Assessment: Support the preparation of the Internal Capital/Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (IC/LAAP).
  • General Duties: Fulfill additional tasks and duties assigned by the Head, Market & Liquidity Risk Management.

Qualifications and Requirements

Experience

3 to 5 years of experience in market risk and/or treasury functions. This could include experience in areas such as:

  • Market risk analysis and reporting
  • Treasury operations and cash management
  • Liquidity risk management
  • Interest rate risk management
  • Foreign exchange risk management
  • Credit risk analysis
  • Derivatives trading and valuation

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: banking and finance, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or any other quantitative field.
  • An MSc, MBA, CFA, FRM, ACA, or other relevant professional certification is a strong advantage.
