President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA says government is constructing a concrete Road on the seven Kilometer Chibuluma Road in Kitwe as a pilot project before extending similar works elsewhere.
Speaking when he featured on a Special Programme on Radio Icengelo in Ndola, President HICHILEMA said the advert inviting bids has already been floated in the print media.
The Head of State also indicated that government will work on the Mufulira-Mokambo road adding that discussions are also underway with the Democratic Republic of Congo government to develop the Mokambo-Chembe Road.
And President HICHILEMA disclosed that government has made progress in unlocking challenges at both Konkola and Mopani Copper Mines.
He said government is aware of the delay in addressing the problems at the two mines.
Meanwhile, President HICHILEMA said the 1.3 billion dollars IMF loan was secured at zero percent interest rate and will allow the government to invest in key economic sectors to continue stabilizing the economy.
He said the many successes scored in the last one year are a clear indication of governmentβs resolve to uplift the living standards of the people.
