Government has heightened efforts to mobilise resources to support climate change activities.
Green Economy and Environment Permanent Secretary JOHN MSIMUKO says the Government has built a conducive environment to attract climate financing from multilateral and bilateral partners as well as the private sector.
Mr. MSIMUKO was speaking on the sidelines of the Green Climate Fund Global Programming Conference in South Korea where he is leading the Zambian delegation.
He noted that while the needs of developing countries in climate investment remain in trillions of US dollars, the available financing to translate the needs into concrete climate investments are less than five percent of the needs.
This is according to a statement issued by Green Economy and Environment Communications Officer CHIBAULA SILWAMBA.
