Government has released over 976 million Kwacha to Local Authorities under Constituency Development Fund -CDF-.
Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary, MAMBO HAAMAUNDU announced today that the disbursed amount translates into over 6 million Kwacha per Constituency.
In an interview, Mr. HAAMAUNDU urged all the Local Authorities to ensure that there is accountability and transparency in the utilization of the money.
He also urged the local authorities to ensure that they adhere to the Public Procurement Act and the Public Finance Act as they implement the people’s decisions.
