What do the scholarships cover?

To be eligible for these scholarships, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Citizenship: You must be a citizen of a country classified as low- or lower-middle-income by the World Bank. You can easily check your country’s status on the World Bank website.
  • Academic Background: Hold an unconditional offer letter for a full-time Master’s program at the UCL Institute of Education (IOE). This means you’ve met all the academic requirements for admission to your chosen program.
  • Previous Experience: You must not have previously studied or lived in the UK before starting your Master’s program.

You’ll be notified of the selection committee’s decision via email by no later than Friday, June 14th, 2024. Keep an eye on your inbox!

Additional Considerations:

  • Accommodation: While your tuition and living expenses are covered, you’ll be responsible for finding and securing your own accommodation in London.
  • Family Expenses: The scholarship is designed to support only the student. If you wish to bring your dependents, you’ll need to cover all their expenses associated with staying in the UK.
  • Combining Scholarships: If you receive the UCL Centenary Scholarship, you won’t be eligible for other UCL awards concurrently.
